Jason Oliveira

Jason Oliveira joined the Seattle University Athletic Department in July 2019 as the Assistant Director of Athletic Communications. In this position, he oversees all media responsibilities for his assigned teams and will assist teams and the department in their respective social media efforts.

Prior to joining the Redhawks, Oliveira spent three seasons at Washburn University, located in Topeka, Kansas. During his time in the Sunflower State, he was the primary media contact for the volleyball, women's basketball and baseball teams, while assisting with 11 other varsity athletic programs. Outside the press box, he also made significant contributions in the growth and development of the Ichabods' social media channels and digital branding.

Oliveira also had a stint as the Media Relations Assistant for the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) in Colorado Springs, Colo., after successfully completing a two-year term in the Alabama capital as the Sports Information Graduate Assistant for Auburn University at Montgomery (AUM).

A native of the Nutmeg State, Oliveira received his Bachelor of Science in Sports Management from Lasell College in Newton, Massachusetts, before earning a Masters of Education in Sports Management from AUM.
