Wade Neely is the Assistant Athletic Director for Athletic Communications for Martin Methodist College.
As the head of the Sports Information department, he is responsible for the day-to-day coverage of the school's 18 varsity intercollegiate sports.
His duties include collecting all statistical information, preparing game day publications, maintaining GoRedHawks.com, and all communication regarding MMC athletics with the Southern States Athletic Conference, the NAIA and various media outlets.
Additionally, Neely handles all of the social media efforts for the RedHawks through their various accounts.
For his efforts both at Martin Methodist and as a liaison at the conference level, Neely was named the 2019 Southern States Athletic Conference Sports Information Director of the Year.
Prior to his hiring at Martin Methodist in August 2012, Neely spent two-and-a-half years as a sports reporter, talk show host and play-by-play personality. From March 2010-December 2011, Neely served as Sports Director at WKSR AM-FM in Pulaski. During that time, Neely also created, produced and hosted "The Wade Neely Morning Show", the only live wakeup sports show in southern Middle Tennessee.
From January-December 2011, Neely also worked part-time as MMC's Director of Broadcasting, providing play-by-play for men and women's basketball games on MMCTV, WKSR and Martin Methodist's university website.
In December 2011, Neely left Pulaski to help launch the Clarksville Sports Network in Clarksville, Tenn. During his time in Clarksville, Neely served as lead beat reporter for Austin Peay State University. In addition to his reporting responsibilities, Neely produced and co-hosted Clarksville's only daily three-hour sports talk show, "From the Sideline."
In addition to his duties at MMC, Neely is also the play-by-play voice of Giles County High School football. Neely is entering his ninth season as the "Voice of the Bobcats."
Among the teams and events Neely has broadcast with throughout his career include: Tennessee State University Men's Basketball, the 2011 and 2014 NAIA Women's Soccer National Tournament and Middle Tennessee State University Women's Soccer.
Neely also served as the digital play-by-play voice of the 2013 Ohio Valley Conference Men and Women's Basketball Tournament held at prestigious Municipal Auditorium in Nashville, Tenn.
Neely also served as the official play-by-play voice of the 2011 Sun Belt Conference Women's Soccer Tournament, held in Murfreesboro, TN.
Neely graduated from Middle Tennessee State University in Murfreesboro, Tenn. In 2009 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Electronic Media Journalism and a minor in Economics.
Neely is the son of Christine and Dennis Neely, and is a 2005 graduate of Giles County High School. He has one sister, Callie.
In his free time, he enjoys following sports, playing cards, meeting new friends, reading and playing golf. Neely is an avid CrossFit and exercise enthusiast and is a CrossFit Level 1 Trainer.
Neely currently resides in Pulaski, Tenn.
