David Gibson

FROM MADONNA ATHLETICS

David Gibson joined the Madonna University Athletic Communications office in the Fall of 2020.

Gibson comes from Indiana University. serving as a Digital and Social Media Assistant for the Men's Soccer, Field Hockey, Wrestling, Track & Field, and Softball programs' digital media growth and presence. Gibson also assisted with Men's Basketball efforts as well as the Hoosiers' historical Football season this past fall.

With the Hoosiers, Gibson grew social media accounts using tactical campaigns, live video-captured content, and student-athlete driven posts as well as live event coverage on all program social media channels.

A graduate of the University of Southern Indiana with a Bachelor's in Sport Management, Gibson spent two years with the athletic communications staff as both a student assistant and brief graduate assistant for many of the Screaming Eagles' nationally recognized programs.

Gibson twice presented at the Collegiate Sports Information Directors of America convention on podcasting, a session that was fully booked in 2018, for his work with SIDcast, an original podcast with over 70,000-plus downloads interviewing sports information professionals. Gibson also serves on the CoSIDA Welcome Week Committee.

In the past, Gibson has worked on staffs at every level of collegiate athletics including Division I non-Football Evansville Purple Aces, Division III Hanover Panthers, and NAIA Indiana Tech Warriors.

The Madison, Indiana native now resides in Novi. He is engaged to be married to his Fiancée, Morgan.
