David Gibson

Gibson took over digital marketing efforts for Student Athlete NIL (SANIL) in a CRM role for a total of 12 collectives. Tasked with providing a fan base nurturing tool, Gibson built a team and a product that accumulated over 40,000 emails as an all-in-one email solution for fans.

Specifically, Gibson managed publications that averaged over 50.0% open rates and a staggering 5.5% click through rate (CTR) while giving opportunities for fans to donate and/or become members of their respective team's collective.

While at Oakland, Gibson took over communications efforts for Men's Basketball mid-season while covering the Golden Grizzlies' first Softball Horizon League Championship in seven years in addition to Track & Field, Cross Country, and Volleyball duties.

Before Oakland, the Indiana native spent a year and a half at local NAIA institution Madonna University, serving as Assistant Athletic Director of Communications, Marketing, and Promotions for all 24 Crusaders sports as the MU Athletic Communications office won several NAIA-SIDA Publications Awards. As a Crusader, Gibson covered the historic national champion Men's Track & Field team in 2021.

Previously, Gibson was a Digital and Social Media Assistant at Indiana University for a year, covering Hoosiers Men's Soccer, Field Hockey, Wrestling, Track & Field, and Softball as well as aiding heavily with Indiana Football as well as Men's and Women's Basketball.

A 2018 graduate of the University of Southern Indiana, Gibson resides in St. Clair Shores with his wife, Morgan, and their dogs, Scout and Tracker.
